A Sweet Partnership Born from Love

There's something beautiful that happens when hearts aligned with God's purposes come together. When we encountered the story of Mamabuci Honey, we knew immediately that this was more than just a business—it was a reflection of the Father's heart for His children.

Where Heaven Meets the Miombo Forests

Deep in the Miombo forests of central Zambia, something extraordinary is taking place. Wild African bees are creating liquid gold—pure, award-winning honey that carries within it the taste of freedom, dignity, and transformed lives.

This is the story of Mamabuci—which means "Mother Honey" in the Bemba dialect. Founded in 2008 by Martin Zuch, what began as a business venture struggling with technical challenges became a powerful testimony of redemption and innovation. When specially designed treetop bar hives finally allowed the beehives to flourish, producing over 12 kilograms of honey per hive, Martin and his team knew they had discovered something that could genuinely change lives.

Today, Mamabuci supports over 7,000 families across Zambia. They've provided more than 70,000 sustainable beehives, hand-built by local craftspeople, producing over 400 tonnes of raw honey each year. But the sweetness goes far beyond the honey itself.

The Fruit of Kingdom Partnership

What captivates my heart about Mamabuci is how perfectly it reflects the principles we hold dear in our community—that authentic transformation flows from love, dignity, and empowerment. Through their charity Give Hope Africa, founded in 2005, they're providing education to children in some of Africa's poorest areas, building schools where none existed, and creating pathways to hope.

Meet Martha, who once struggled to feed her family. After training as a beekeeper with Mamabuci, she now manages ten hives producing over 180 kilograms of honey annually—enough to send her children to school. Or Pearson, elected as a Mama Buci mentor in 2015, whose perseverance has grown his region into the largest producing area, encompassing 300 beekeeping families and 15,000 hives. These families are now building new homes and stepping into futures they once only dreamed of.

This is the Gospel lived out—people discovering their value, their capability, their God-given potential to flourish.
